'Coyotes' by Todd-Daniels | Woodsong Institute

Sun up at the Waggoner Ranch south of Vernon, Texas, where I waited for the cowboys to rope their horses and saddle up for fall roundup. I caught a glimpse of coyotes in a ravine and took a quick photograph. It is one of my favorite memories, riding with the cowhands on a borrowed horse named Harry using a rope bridle with no bit. I’m surprised that I lived through it.
