'Remember Me' by Todd-Daniels | Woodsong Institute

‘Remember Me’

Outside the gates of Jerusalem is a place that resembles a skull called Golgotha, a huge stone outcropping or possibly an ancient quarry wall. Alhough there is a church occupying a different site, many feel this location could have been where Jesus was crucified. The area was long used as a killing field, a place of stoning… perhaps even Stephen. The painting was painfully slow and stubborn, a year to finish. Jesus said to the thief after he begged to be remembered, Today shall you be with me in paradise. [Lk. 23:43]
